Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"Great spot to wind down after a work day. Come around 2PM or so in the Fall, the sun sets behind you and you get a nice view. Bring a tarp to sit on the grass with some snacks or get some from the food trucks!"
"One of my absolute favorite parts about summer in Portland! We have a dog, so there are few ways I'd rather spend an evening than grabbing dinner from one of the local food trucks and watching our pup run around the beach. While the selection of food trucks is almost always the same, they provide a wide variety and something that will suit every palate. During peak hours there can be a bit of a wait, so be sure to consider how much time you have available when making your selection. On the upside, it's hard to get a better view than the Eastern Prom and it's a great atmosphere for chatting with neighbors."
"We got a margherita pizza from Cargo Pizza & gelato from Gelato Fiasco. The pizza was great but could’ve been cooked a minute longer & was really wet but great flavors! Definitely some of the better pizza in Portland! Gelato was delicious- it was so hot today it was melting in the cups! Haha definitely recommend checking out the trucks! Food at the other ones looked good but we wanted to share something smaller and a bit easier to eat :)"
"Ordered from Vy Banh Mi, and were wholly undisappointed. Massive, delicious, and wet. My only wish is they included wet wipes. My wife got the chicken banh mi, I got the Cajun lobster. MAYBE a bit on the pricier side, but again, it was massive, and nice big chucks of lobster claw"
"We come here often but this time on labor day and though it was crowded service was quick and the food was great we parked at the top of the hill along the street and took the walk down the hill in the grass rather than circling for a spot just to end up parking even farther away. People are always friendly around here and the area is very dog friendly."
"The Eastern prom food truck park is a great spot to unwind. Grab a great bite to eat, walk towards the water and enjoy the sun on a great summer day or fall afternoon. The food trucks always deliver great eats. Some of our favorites include falafel, Mafia, the pizza crate truck, and of course Mr. Tuna Maine. Next time we go back, we'll frequent the other trucks. Today. There was a gelato truck as well as a taco truck and a banh mi truck that we will definitely sample. I highly recommend you check this place out."
"Food truck parking lot! Beautiful spot with picnic tables! It’s also dog friendly. Many choices of all types of food! I really enjoyed my vegan bowl! And my husband loved the Vietnamese dish. Then we walked it off to see the cruise ship!"
"What a relaxing dream like park by the bay. I felt as If I could sit and watch the clouds drift by for hours or look out at the ocean and watch the sail boats float by for hours. The beach was nice as well and the food trucks were delicious. It made me really want to come back to Portland Maine just to hang out at the park. If you are a walker or a bike rider they have nice trails that go right along the water with pretty unobstructed views. So glad I got to spend some time in the sun here."
